This is Why

I’m not a fundamentalist anymore. As much as I might utterly fail to communicate myself – others succeed at it. And I will use their words where mine fail.

But that is a pretty straightforward account of why I am not, and cannot ever be again, a fundamentalist. God’s Scripture is a beginning, not an end. The questions do not decrease, they increase. God increases too.

The scripture was the beginning of her thought process; a place to launch out from, not just a place to stop… I especially won’t believe that God wants me to know the Bible, but not know literature, relationships, beauty, work, sacrifice, science, art and service. I will approach all those things as a Biblically thinking Christian, with a grid of God and the Gospel giving cohesion and hope to all I experience and encounter.
